Sometimes I feel like falling
Not from elevated heights
But from down below,
Where no lights would shed me pity
And tell me how much time left
Do I have till my fate meets the ground?

Sometimes I feel like falling
Not bright like a falling star
Nor loud as a drop of explosion
But with the transience of a dying firefly
Glowing amidst the moonlit night
Light, forever a flickering ember
Never needed nor pleaded
Yet glowing just the same

Sometimes I feel like falling
Downwards
Or sometimes
Upwards
Yet falling just the same
