Lost – a poem

Originally written for a prompt submitted by @keziaghalyva

There once was a girl,
lost in her own little world.
People said the only way she could escape
was for her to find love.
So she searched far and wide,
and finally found the love that could lead her
out.

If only the girl knew
that everything outside her own little world
was not as pretty as it seemed.
If only she knew
that with love comes sorrow,
sacrifices, and pain.

She might’ve found that
being lost is not bad at all.
